Ready the Blotter

  1. After all the transfer stacks have been assembled, add the lid by sliding the 3 guides into the 3 grooves on the base. Add a weight (no more than1 kg) on the cover to ensure even contact between the electrodes and transfer stacks.
  2. Make sure the power supply is off and that both the current and voltage controls are set to zero. If possible, set the voltage limit to 50 V.
  3. Then connect the leads between the cover and base. Adjust the current to 75 mA (the current should not exceed 0.8 mA/cm2 of gel). The transfer will take 30 minutes.
