Add Chelex

Now you will resuspend your cells in Chelex, which binds metal ions that inhibit the PCR reaction.

Tip: Since Chelex beads settle quickly out of solution, you will need to resuspend them by pipetting in and out several times, before and after adding Chelex to your sample.
